On Thursday 26th August 37 boys and 5 staff left Worksop for a pre-season tour to Devon. Based at Exeter University, the teams have been training and sight seeing and have played their first matches today against Barnstaple Rugby Club.

Brett Hutton (S) is this week playing for the England U17 development side against Ireland and Scotland at Loughborough. Results to follow.

Aided by two parents, eleven pupils and three members of staff of Mason House completed the Three Peaks walk last weekend. Giving up their exeat, the boys climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in 48 hours all in aid of Help for Heroes.

Worksop College defeated Royal GS Newcastle by 94 runs on Friday night (18th June) to book a date with Shrewsbury School on Monday 21st to decide who will go to Lords as the 20/20 champions of the North of England.

 

The go-ahead has been given for Worksop College’s new Astroturf and construction will begin as soon as the summer holiday begins.  This second Astroturf will further enhance our national reputation for hockey.  During the past two years our boys’ First XI and our girls’ First XI have reached the National Schools’ Hockey finals.
