Once again grade A was the most frequently achieved grade in all the A Level examination results at Worksop College. Half of the examinations taken this summer were graded at A*, A or B. This enabled almost every one of this year’s leavers to proceed to their first choice university which included Oxford, Imperial College, London, UCL, Sheffield, Manchester, Durham and York. The Headmaster, Roy Collard, said: “There was a general feeling of elation as our leavers opened their results envelopes this morning. Despite gloom in the national media, we found that even those pupils who had not quite achieved their offer grades were securing places at top universities. I congratulate every member one of our leavers and their teachers for the hard work that has enabled these fantastic results”.
